 What is Power Plant?

Power Plant is a heart of any telecom services. It provide continuous DC power supply to the telecom equipment during electricity power cut. All the equipment's  works only dc power with standard -48volts.

Now a day SMPS based Power Plant mostly in used due to efficient, economic & reliable  for telecom system.

SMPS Power Plant is also more compatible with VLRA and conventional lead batteries.

Types of Power Plant (Capacity):-

1. Small Exchange:- current 5-12 Amp, Single phase, no paralleling possible.

2. Medium Exchange:- current 25-50 Amp,single phase, only manual possible,

3. Large Exchange:- current  >50 Amp, three phase, auto paralleling possible.

Power Plant has three part :-

1. Float Rectifier.

2. Battery Charger.

3. Switching Cubicle
